“Open Procurement Transparency Portal – OPTP” is a 12 month project implemented by Lëvizja FOL and funded by USAID. The main objective of this project was to develop the open procurement portal to increase transparency on public expenditures. This included scrapping, aggregating and structuring information on public contracts. Mostly, those contracts published by the procurement platform managed by Public Procurement Regulatory Commission (PPRC).
FOL’s idea for the “Open Procurement Transparency Portal” in Kosovo was inspired by the “Open Public Contracts in Slovakia”.

Web Summit is an annual technology conference. It is considered as the largest tech event in the world. Found in 2009, by Paddy Cosgrave, David Kelly and Daire Hickey, Web Summit was originally held in Dublin, Ireland. In 2016, it moved permanently to Lisbon, Portugal.

With purpose of increasing the trade and economic relations between Kosovo and USA, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, led a delegation of Kosovar businesses in Washington DC and Virginia. The delegation met with representatives of important institutions in U.S., including the Senate, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Select USA, and Overseas Private Investment Corporation. The delegation also met with representatives of Greater Richmond Partnership, Lead Virginia and James Madison University. We had the pleasure to meet Kosovo’s Ambassador in US Vlora Citaku as well as Albania’s Ambassador in US Floreta Luli-Faber.
